Suzanne Bouffard has written about education and child development for The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Daily Beast, U.S. News and World Report, Parents, PBS Kids for Parents, and The Harvard Education Letter. She is author of the book, The Most Important Year: Pre-Kindergarten and the Future of Our Children (Avery, 2017).
She has also co-written two books for educators: Teaching with a Social, Emotional, and Cultural Lens (Harvard Education Press, 2020) and Ready, Willing, and Able: A Developmental Approach to College Access and Success (Harvard Education Press, 2012).
Suzanne has a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Duke University and a B.A. from Wesleyan University. She is currently vice president for publications at Learning Forward and the editor of The Learning Professional magazine. Previously, she was a writer and researcher at the Harvard Graduate School of Education for ten years. She lives with her husband and two young children in Massachusetts.
